We have moved beyond the sexual ethics of the Bible.

God is Like Jesus
It is often helpful to recognise that God is like Jesus. We can look at the examples of Jesus being compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, loving and forgiving. In terms of anger, what types of things did Jesus get angry about? I find it interesting that we don't see examples of Jesus being angry with "sinners", or at least the types of people we typically think of as sinners. His response to those types is usually more of a compassion, gracious, loving and forgiveness response. He does show his anger some towards the Pharisees, and the folks ripping people off at the temple (similar to Luther's complaints 500 years ago).
