Jesus on Following The Bible

Jesus gives us a lesson about not always following the rules in the Bible.

Consider The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Luke 10:25 - 37 


The Priests and Levites in this story were following the rules in the Bible. They did  not want to become "unclean" by coming close to someone who was either dead or close to death.  That is what their Bible clearly taught:


Jesus was pointing out that it is possible to follow the rules of the Bible, even when the rules are clearly stated, and still miss the heart of God.
